The Swan Goose has been domesticated for thousands of years, and the domestic forms, the Chinese and African Geese, can be found throughout the world. Unfortunately, the wild population is declining because of over-hunting and habitat modification, while the captive population is heavily hybridized with domesticated genes.

Eggs: 5-8 Incubation: 29 days
Range: Breeds in southern Siberia and Mongolia, winters in northeastern China and Japan.
