Whistling Swan

First discovered by Lewis and Clark who mistakenly named the species as they make a variety of cooing and high pitch hoots rather than whistles. Sometimes confused with Trumpeter Swans, Whistling Swans are smaller and sport a small yellow patch on the bill near the eye.
